The ideal candidate has a passion for building new relationships and opening new client accounts, gaining credibility by supporting our clients in planning and execution of successful projects, and expanding our footprint within those accounts by identifying and recommending solutions that translate into new business.  Every project is different and requires a solution that will optimize outcomes.  Our approach explores innovative ways to deliver solutions to our clients by providing Resourcing Services, Consulting Services, Managed Services, and Learning & Development Solutions addressing the Human Capital challenges the Healthcare and Clinical Research Industry is facing today.

NOTE: This is primarily a remote position, with occasional leadership team meetings in King of Prussia, PA, and must be willing to travel on occasion to client locations within the USA.  We are seeking a resource that lives in the EST or CST Zone.

Compensation = Competitive Base Salary + Commission + Equity Incentives

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to our CEO, this resource will function in an individual contributor and a “hands-on” strategic sales leader driving new business, developing new client relationships and fostering existing relationships within the Research and Clinical Trials domain, and expanding our solutions footprint by identifying and recommending solutions that translates into new business.
  • Work cross functionally internally and externally, communicating with all stakeholders, managing client expectations and ensuring clients' success.
  • Effectively create and execute account planning and business development strategies.
  • Build and manage a sustainable sales pipeline to ensure revenue and profit goals are achieved.    
  • Meet/exceed revenue targets by effectively positioning Vitalief as a highly valued, trusted delivery partner with client executives and management.
  • Shepherd sales pursuits by creating and delivering client presentations, proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs); this includes working closely with Vitalief’s executive management and solutions delivery team to provide innovative solutions to our client.
  • Represent Vitalief at relevant industry and networking events.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of business development experience selling staffing and/or management consulting professional services within the healthcare and/or clinical research industry.
  • Experience working for a CRO selling FSP (Functional Service Provider) services is a big plus. 
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Executive presence with strong leadership skills, and ability to establish partnerships with clients at all levels.
  • Proven track record of obtaining Master Services Agreements (MSA’s) with new clients, building long standing, valuable client relationships, and successfully fulfill client’s needs.
  • Highly effective at navigating client environments and leveraging team members to identify opportunities and provide optimal client solutions.
  • Problem solver with the ability to think outside the box to solve client problems in an innovative way.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, and ability to overcome obstacles and objections, thus gaining consensus with client stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and manage a sustainable sales pipeline to ensure revenue and profit goals are achieved.    
  • Highly driven, results oriented, competitive, positive person who thrives in a small, team oriented, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to travel on occasion domestically.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to travel on occasion to various client destinations across the USA.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
